A RUSSIAN SAFRONOV PORCELAIN CUP DEPICTING COSSACKS - A rare Russian gilt porcelain tea cup and saucer by the Safronov Factory. The surface is hand-painted with a scene depicting mounted and foot Cossacks of the Napoleonic Wars of 1812 with a countryside landscape in the foreground. The set is dated from the early to the middle of the 19th century. Incised marks on the verso. Dimensions: H: 3 1/2 in., (9 cm.) Condition: No chips or cracks, gilding faded.
