A PAIR OF CHINESE REPUBLIC PERIOD PORCELAIN DOLLS - A pair of fine Chinese Republic period (1912–1949) hand-crafted and hand-painted porcelain dolls depicting court girls, dressed in traditional richly ornate robes, with intricate hairstyles adorned by beautifully executed rose flowers and each holding a long-handled fan. Each doll bears a hieroglyphic mark on the bottom. Dimensions: H: 15 1/2 in., (35 cm.) Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks.
