AN ALBERT BIERSTADT ROMANTIC LANDSCAPE PAINTING, AMERICAN
An oil on canvas painting by Albert Bierstadt (1830 - 1902). The painting in a Romantic realism manner depicts a hut in a mountainous landscape. Housed in its original ornate gilded wood and gesso frame. The nameplate on the frame is inscribed: "A. Bierstadt." Albert Bierstadt was an American landscape painter of German descent, painted in the style of the Hudson River School. Albert Bierstadt produced hundreds of large-scale sweeping oil paintings of the American West with classic views such as the Rocky Mountains, the Oregon Trail, Yosemite, and other virgin landscapes.
Dimensions: 16 1/8 x 10 1/4 in., (41 x 26 cm.)
Condition: The painting reveals some restoration under the UV.
