A GERMAN WWII NAZI GAU HONOR SUDETENLAND BADGE - Large detailed eagle and swastika mounted within an open silver wreath bearing the date ”1938” and enameled bands of black/red/black (the colors of the Gau) two rives on reverse and flat pin. Instituted in 1944, only a few were issued to ”old fighters” of the Kampfzeit. In October of 1938, Southern Moravia became a part of Gau Ostmark (formerly Austria), Southern Bohemia was made a part of Bavaria, and what remained was proclaimed Gau Sudetenland.
