A GERMAN WWII FREE CITY OF DANZIG RED CROSS ORDER - Cross of Merit of the Red Cross of the Free City of Gdansk, 2nd Class. The award is a white enameled silver cross with a red enamel cross in the center. With an original red and white ribbon tied in a form of a bow. The Cross was instituted on 31 August 1939 as a two-grade decoration by Albert Forster. Dimensions: 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 in., (39 x 39 mm.)
