A PRUSSIAN WWI PERIOD COMMEMORATIVE BADGE - Commemorative badge to the pilots and observers of the Navy made by Maybauer Berlin. It has the shape of a vertical oval surrounded by a wide wreath. On its left side there are laurel leaves, symbolizing victory, and on the right side, oak leaves symbolizing strength and endurance. Both were tied together with a ribbon bow at the bottom. The imperial crown is on top of the badge. In the center of the badge is an image of an eagle soaring over a rocky island. It was founded by Kaiser Wilhelm II on October 26, 1916.
