A TOBACCO FLANEL WITH RUSSIAN FLAG, EARLY 20TH C.
A cotton banner depicting the Imperial Russian flag. Similar pennants with various designs were distributed by premium American tobacco companies. They encouraged women to collect them and use them in handicrafts and household chores. On the flannel there is a waving Russian flag with the inscription "RUSSIA", in the corners, there are red squares with images of the imperial two-headed eagles.Ca. 1900.
