A RUSSIAN SILVER AND ENAMEL COIN PURSE, 1861 - A Russian ladies coin purse. The purse is embellished with engraving and graceful designs in blue and black hot enamel. On the front, the purse is decorated with a beautiful lush bouquet of flowers with colored enamels, on the back, there is a monogram with the initials ”I.P” (Cyrillic) surmounted by a crown. The shield is framed with decorative patterns of blue and black enamel. Hallmarked with the image of St. George and the date ”1861”, a maker's mark ”G.D” and an 88 silver standard stamp. The interior is covered with leather and coral broadcloth. Weight: 5.6 oz., 160 g. Dimensions: 5 1/2 x 2 3/4 in. (14 x 7 cm.) Condition: Good overall, minor chips on the enamel, a few small hard-to-see dents.
