A Magnificent Style Boulle Wood and Ormolu Console Clock by Nicolas Gribelin, France, Late 17th Early 18th Century - The clock with a round face ornately decorated with scrolls in relief and with large, enamel painted, Roman numerals beneath an elaborate, gilt relief of scrolls. Housed in a rectangular case with a hinged, glass door. The case decorated throughout with tortoise-lining featuring gilt marketer work of scrolls. The corners and finials mounted with ormolu garlands and rosettes. Raised on four supports and topped by a gilt, sculptural puttie.
