A Pair of Large Empire Ormolu and Marble Cassolettes, France, 19th Century - Square pink marble bases with re-entrant corners with a bronze cover, decorated with a palmette pattern and surmounted by a flared, marble foot. Above, a bulbous, marble body, fitted in a bronze, pierced insert. The body decorated with bronze ormolu garlands and flanked by two, curved swan shaped handles. Terminating in a domed, marble lid with a bronze, acorn shaped handle. Height: 52 cm
