A Fine Anglo Indian Carved Sandalwood Sewing Box, 19th Century - Of sarcophagus form, raised on four brass paw shaped supports. The lid and sides finely carved with with carved with birds and flowers and surrounded by a border accented with iv*ry and decorated with inlaid arabesques. The interior with a compartmentalized and and including iv*ry cotton barrels with mosaic tops, iv*ry thimble and five other compartments, all similarly decorated and carved. The back of the lid fitted with a mirror. Including the original key/lock mechanism. 14 x 32.5 x 23.5 cm
