A 17th Century Southern Germany Silver and Parcel Gilt Bookbinding Fitted with a Book of Psalms, , Basel 1685 - Pierced, chased and embossed with ornate reliefs, beneath a smooth, gilt ground. The front cover depicting a relief of the Adoration of the Shepherds, bordered by a gilt frame. The back cover and spine similarly decorated and depicting Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the Resurrection, respectively. With a gilt textblock and two, ornate clasps on the front.
