Lucanian red-figure squat lekythos of the Roccanova Painter. About 350 BC. Height 19cm, ø corpus 9,4cm. Charming courting scene between a sitting girl and a youth who presents a little bird to her. Jewellery of the girl in white. On the shoulder a rare circle of rays spared out of the black glaze with white drops at the ends. Beautiful little treasure of later Lucanian vase painting! Intact with remains of sinter.
