Early Lucanian red-figure kalpis, Manner of the Palermo Painter. 400 - 390 BC. Height with modern foot 24,1cm, width with handles 22,3cm, ø corpus 17,2cm. In the front a charming scene with two girls playing with balls, the left one is standing and wearing a sakkos, the right one is sitting on a rock and wearing a sphendone. The foot is modern, the upper part of the corpus is broken and reassembled, small missing fragments at the cracks retouched - in particular the face of the left woman.
