Large Attic red-figure bell-krater of the Black Thyrsus Painter. 360 - 350 BC. Height 34,3cm, ø mouth 34,8cm. On one side a thiasos. In the centre painted in white and yellow a dancing maenad playing the tympanon. At her side each a dancing satyr and further maenads, the left holding thyrsos and tympanon. At the backside two draped youths. With document from 1976 (copy)! At the back a large fissure, small chipping at the foot, the white and yellow colour of the maenad are mostly flaked off.
