Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Kahana ZT”L Hy”d, Av Beis Din of Strȳmtérė, known as ”Reb Hersh Cohen” (1904-1945): Born to his father Rabbi Yeshayahu Kahana of Petriș. One of the great Chassidim of HaRav HaKadosh Rabbi Chaim of Antonie. A student of HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Eliezer David Greenwald, author of ”Keren LeDavid”, Av Beis Din of Satmar, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, author of ”She'erit Menachem”, and Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Yaakov Gottlieb, Av Beis Din of Kehal Sefardim in Miskolc. Head of the ”Beis Aharon” Yeshiva. During the Holocaust, he was deported to Auschwitz, and from there transferred to the Dora labor camp near Buchenwald, where he perished Al Kiddush Hashem. He left behind many manuscripts with novellae on the Torah, on the Shas and Shulchan Aruch, and more. From these, the books ”Nachalat Zvi” on the Torah and festivals, and on mikvaot, and ”Nachalat Zvi - Letters of Torah and Halachic Discourse” were compiled and published. *
