Aryeh Leib Ginsberg (The Shaagas Aryeh). R. Aryeh Leib Ginsberg (1695-1785), served as Rav in Volozhin. Among his students from that period were R. Chaim of Volozhin (1749-1821), and R. Refoel Hamburger. While in Volozhin he published his monumental work Shaagas Aryeh. After a dispute with a local landowner he was forced to leave. At the age of 70, he was appointed Rav in Metz where he served until his passing at the age of 90. The seforim of The Shaagas Aryeh are celebrated for their clarity and lomdus and remain classics of Torah scholarship. סטפנסקי ספרי יסוד מספר 80 Rabbi Asher Ze'ev Werner (1894-1958), a renowned Torah genius and mekubal, Slonim Chassid. Born in Jerusalem, disciple of Rabbi Moshe Klirs in the Ohr Torah Yeshiva in Tiberias. During World War I, he ended up in the US where he was appointed rabbi of Peterson. After Rabbi Klirs died in 1934, he was called to succeed Rabbi Klirs as Rabbi of Tiberias and to head the yeshiva as Rabbi Klirs directed. He was friendly with Rabbi Yehuda Leib Ashlag. Served as Rabbi and President of Po'alei Agudat Yisrael and member of Mo'etzet Gedolei HaTorah.
