Letter of Chiddushei Torah, from Rav Shabsi Yagel, 1931 The gaon Rabbi Shabsi Yagel [1875-1958] was the rosh yeshivah of Slonim and a member of the Council of Torah Sages. He studied in Volozhin until it closed. In 1929 he visited the Land of Israel for about three months, about which he wrote that those were the happiest days of his life, when he enjoyed the good of the Land and its holiness. When WWII broke out, he fled to Vilna, and from there to the Land of Israel. He settled in Ramat Gan and established a yeshivah there where he taught for 17 years until his passing. Letter is ripped along fold lines, 3 parts are stiil attached at edges, fourth part is totally detached. - הגאון רבי שבתי יגל – [תרל”ה - תשי”ח], ראש ישיבת סלונים בליטא ואח”כ בארץ ישראל וחבר מועצת גדולי התורה. בפרוץ מלחמת העולם השנייה נמלט הרב יגל לארץ ישראל, התיישב ברמת גן, הקים בה את ישיבת סלונים העתיקה מחדש ולימד בה עד לפטירתו. בנו ר' שלמה נהרג בפרעות תרפ”ט בישיבת חברון. חתנו - הגאון רבי צבי מרקוביץ רבה של רמת גן וחבר מועצת גדולי התורה וראש ישיבת קרלין סטולין ירושלים. – נכדו מראשי ישיבת פונביז'.  קרוע ב4 חלקים, 3 חלקים עדיין מחובר בקצוות החלק הרביעי מנותק כולו
