Yarim Moshe from the holy Alshich, on Pirkei Avos. First print. Furth, 1764 Excellent condition. On the opposite side of the title page the printer writes an introduction ”that it should be known the great merit of this sefer and its power to protect those who learn and toil in it”. He continues to recount a story about Rav Avrohom the Rav of Be'er in Poland, who would learn the seforim of the holy Alshich each week. One friday night in 1648, the Holy Alshich appeared to him in a dream, and told him that since he learns his seforim regularly, he is warning him to run away from his town in the middle of the night because it was decreed that the town be destroyed, and he promised that he wouLd watch over him and his wife and daughter. The Rav listened and escaped that night. The next day the Cossacks came and destroyed the town. - מהדורה ראשונה של ספר ירים משה, ליקוט על מסכת אבות מספרי האלשי”ך הקדוש זיע”א – פיורדא תקכ”ד | 1764 ”לדעת גודל שכר הספר הנכבד הלז מעלתו וסגולתו להציל לומדיה והוגי' בה מגזירות רעות רח”ל” ספר ירים משה על מסכת אבות, ליקוט מדברי האלשיך בפרושו על התנ”ך, מאת רבי ירמיה שלענקר מפיורדא – מהדורה ראשונה – פיורדא תקכ”ד. ספר סגולה - ירים משה - על מסכת אבות. להאלשיך הקדוש זיע”א -פיורדא תקכ”ד[1764]. מעבר לדף השער כתב המלקט הקדמה מרגשת בשבח רבינו האלשיך הקדוש וחיבורו על התנ”ך. ”לדעת גודל שכר הספר הנכבד הלז מעלתו וסגולתו להציל לומדיה והוגי' בה מגזירות רעות רח”ל....” בהמשך מביא הרב שלענקר את הסיפור המפורסם על רבינו האלשיך הקדוש: שהרב רבי אברהם אב”ד דק”ק באר בפולין היה מנהגו ללמוד ספר האלשיך הק' בכל שבוע ובפרעות ת”ח ת”ט הופיע רבינו האלשיך אליו ואמר לו, היות ואתה מחבב ספרי והוגה בו כסדר אז המלט על נפשך במהרה ואני אהיה אתך ואצילך וצא מהעיר כי נגזרה הגזירה על כל תושבי העיר, וכן היה!!
