Noam Megadim, Lemberg, 1821. Rav Shmuel Ahron Rubin. Rav Shmuel Ahron Rubin's signature and stamp, as well as signature of his son, Rav Menachem Mendel Rubin, appear on the title page. Very good condition. Some stains, and a few moth holes. Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Rubin was a disciple of Rabbi Aryeh Dvei Ilai and a Chassid of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, who in turn respected and admired him. Rabbi Chaim Sanzer said that Rabbi Shmuel Aharon was ”complete in Torah and yirah” and expressed his love for him in his endorsement to Beis Aharon. Rabbi Shmuel Aharon’s son, Rabbi Naftali, later married the daughter of Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinowa, son of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. Many members of the extended Bobov dynasty are counted among Rabbi Shmuel Aharon’s descendants. Rabbi Shmuel Aharon authored Beis Aharon on Gittin and other important treatises.
