The spoons feature cast handles decorated in an ornate rococo manner, incorporating scrolled foliate detailing, openwork piercing, and a central teardrop medallion terminal. The reverse of each handle stem is stamped with the impressed capital letters reading STERLING - STIEFF. The spoons have smooth, pointed-oval bowls with acanthus scroll joins at the base of the handle.
