Chanel - CHANEL VINTAGE QUILTED LAMBSKIN CHAIN SHOULDER TOTE, BLACK / GOLD. Vintage Chanel matelasse shoulder tote in black quilted lambskin with 24k gold-plated hardware. Diamond-quilted front and back panels over a smooth leather base band, twin leather-woven chain straps with leather shoulder pads, and the signature gold CC ball ornament on a leather tie at the front. Open top with center zip compartment, black leather interior with zip pocket, CHANEL(R) embossed to the interior lining, MADE IN ITALY oval stamp, and CHANEL-engraved gold strap rings. Serial 2672592, with matching numbered authenticity card, original boutique receipt and dust bag. This is the early-1990s Paris-era production -- the period collectors hunt for, when the lambskin was heavier and the plating was 24k gold. Complete with card and original receipt, which is uncommon on a bag of this age and is what separates a vintage Chanel that sells from one that sits. Measures 10.6 in wide x 8.7 in high x 2.2 in deep, with a shoulder-length chain-and-leather strap. Condition report: Very good. Exterior lambskin bright with no cracking, corners sound, quilting and stitching intact, hardware retaining its gold plating with light surface wear. Some scuffing to the interior lining. Card, receipt and dust bag included.
