Baccarat - Baccarat Crystal ”Bouton d'Or” Vases, Set of 3 -- Graduated Triangular Form, Signed France, Retired Pattern. A set of three Baccarat crystal vases in the retired ”Bouton d'Or” pattern, made in France -- two matching 8-inch vases and one 6-inch vase, offered together as a graduated three-piece group. Bouton d'Or, French for buttercup, is a three-sided triangular form executed in thick, heavy, hand-finished crystal. Each vase tapers from a soft rounded rim down to a faceted triangular base, with deep vertical ribs running the full height of the walls. The pieces are substantial in the hand and carry the optical depth and prismatic light-throw that Baccarat is known for. Each of the three vases bears two factory marks. The script signature Baccarat is acid-etched into the side wall near the base, and the round Baccarat maker's stamp reading BACCARAT FRANCE is acid-etched into the underside. Both marks are shown in the photographs. Baccarat has produced crystal at its works in Lorraine since 1764. Bouton d'Or has been retired and is no longer in production. At current Baccarat retail the three pieces as offered price at approximately $1,205. Measurements: Two at 8 inches high; one at 6 inches high. Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or bruises to the rims, walls or bases; light surface wear on the undersides consistent with display only. Maker: Baccarat Origin: France Pattern: Bouton d'Or (retired) Lot: 3 pieces, sold as one lot Retail value: $1,205
