Vintage Hermes Les Tuileries Navy and Magenta Silk Carre 90 - This Hermes silk carre 90 in the Les Tuileries pattern was designed by Joachim Metz. The design features a central circular medallion in magenta depicting the gilded statue of Mercury on Pegasus from the Tuileries Garden in Paris. This focal point is surrounded by elaborate gold-toned rococo and baroque scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and classical urns set against a white ground. The scarf is framed by a navy blue outer border and finished with hand-rolled and hand-stitched hems. The bottom center scrollwork contains the printed text LES TUILERIES and HERMES - PARIS. A copyright mark reading (c) HERMES is printed in a corner of the inner border. A white fabric care label is attached to the edge, reading MADE IN FRANCE 100% SILK on one side and FABRIQUE EN FRANCE 100% SOIE on the other. 90 x 90 cm (35.4 x 35.4 inches).
