Vintage Hermes Le Carnaval de Venise Silk Jacquard Carre 90 - This is a vintage Hermes silk carre 90 in the Le Carnaval de Venise pattern designed by Hubert de Watrigant. The design features a central white vignette depicting St. Mark's Square with pigeons, surrounded by four diamond-shaped scenes showcasing various Commedia dell'arte figures in costume. The navy blue ground is further decorated with ornate Venetian masks, musical notation scrolls, and gondola prows, all framed by a wide red border. The scarf is crafted from silk twill featuring a repeating jacquard weave of the Hermes duc-carrosse (horse and carriage) logo throughout the fabric. The title LE CARNAVAL DE VENISE is integrated into a central bottom scroll, and a copyright mark reading (c) HERMES is printed on a white gondola prow. The artist signature H. de WATRIGANT is located near the lower-left vignette, and the HERMES-PARIS mark is printed within a rectangular border in the lower right corner.
