Vintage Hermes Republique Francaise Liberte Egalite Fraternite Pink Silk Carre 90 - This Hermes silk carre 90 is crafted from silk twill and features the Republique Francaise Liberte Egalite Fraternite (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity) pattern designed by Joachim Metz. Commissioned to commemorate the bicentennial of the French Revolution, the design depicts two allegorical female figures representing the French Republic flanking a central coat of arms dated 1789. The composition incorporates various republican symbols including the Phrygian cap, fasces bound by tricolor ribbons, oak branches, and laurel wreaths. The central field is set against a vibrant pink border on a white ground with multicolor accents. It is finished with hand-rolled and hand-stitched hems.
