The sapphire is secured in a four-prong mounting and is encircled by sixteen round-cut natural diamonds in a scalloped prong setting with an aggregate weight of 0.27ctw. The pendant is suspended from a polished, tapered bail. The reverse of the setting is stamped with the stone weights 110 and D027, alongside the metal purity mark Pt900. Accompanying the piece is a Gem Research Japan Inc. Colored Stone Sorting Memo which identifies the center stone as a natural blue sapphire with indications of routine heating.
