Vintage Japanese Silver and Semi-Round Cultured Pearl Bird Motif Necklace - A vintage Japanese necklace featuring a single strand of cultured pearls with a central sculptural focal point. The centerpiece is a stylized bird, appearing as a duck or swan, constructed of silver with a polished head and neck contrasting against deeply textured wings. This sculptural element serves as the housing for an integrated box-style clasp with a hidden tongue-and-groove mechanism. Suspending from the bird is a textured, teardrop-shaped silver pendant. The necklace consists of a strand of semi-round to baroque pearls separated by small, spherical silver-toned spacer beads. The reverse of the clasp assembly is stamped with the hallmarks SILVER and JAPAN.
