Hermes Ludovicus Magnus Silk Scarf by Francoise de la Perriere - An authentic Hermes silk twill scarf featuring the Ludovicus Magnus (Louis the Great) design by artist Francoise de la Perriere, originally issued in 1963. The central composition celebrates King Louis XIV, the Sun King, depicted in ornate royal attire atop a white horse in a levade position. The surrounding design includes baroque scrollwork, sunburst motifs, fleur-de-lis, royal sceptres, and military trophies. The composition is framed by a border of repeating golden scallop shells set against a pink ground. The scarf includes a top center title banner reading L V D O V I C V S M A G N V S. Authentic markings include a copyright symbol and HERMES on the left side, the brand mark Hermes Paris within a decorative scroll cartouche at the bottom center, and the artist signature F. de LA PERRIERE in the bottom right corner.
