Hermes Poste et Cavalerie Silk Scarf - This Hermes silk twill scarf features the Poste et Cavalerie pattern, designed by artist Joachim Metz and first issued in 1986. The central motif depicts a figure in ornate 18th-century military or ceremonial attire riding a decorated horse. The horse’s caparison is adorned with a prominent imperial crown and coat of arms. The composition is framed by an intricate arrangement of braided ropes, tassels, and military-style aiguillettes. The color palette includes a white central field with motifs rendered in shades of gold, blue, green, and pink, all enclosed within a wide red border. The scarf is constructed with characteristic hand-rolled and hand-stitched hems. Printed markings include HERMES PARIS in the lower-left area and the copyright mark © HERMES in the lower-right area. Dimensions: 35 x 35 inches.
