Called a Whistling or Devil's Mace due to the manner in which it was used, the horseman would swing the macein circular motion speeding his horse towards the mark, the head of the mace has intentionally made hole in the devil's mouth (sometimes nose as well) which would make it to produce a whistling noise believed to hada nearly hypnotizing effect on the opponent.
