U.S. Army 1902 artillery uniform, including helmet, coat, dress pants, belt, buckle, and cartridge box. Black wool covered helmet with gold-colored American eagle emblem on front and two artillery insignia on either side, leather lined inside, size '6 7/8', maker's marked at crown 'Ridabock & Co., formerly Baker & McKenney, New York', stamped 'Inspected N.C.N.Y.' Inside leather liner and leather trim are cracking and chipping. Tunic has gold U.S. Army buttons, maker's marked 'Horstmann Philada'. One button is separated, attached with pin. Right inside sleeve of coat marked, 'Thomas F. Baulig'. Inside right liner of coat hand-marked, 'Ashworth'. Coat had label at nape of neck, now mostly missing. Collar has 30th Company badge attached. Minor discoloration inside and fraying edges. Blue wool dress pants, marked on inside waist band 'G.R. Zis', stamped '1-M', marked '2X598' and '1390'. Small tag attached to inside right pocket with 'R1390' on one side and 'Zis' on the other, possibly in previous owner's own hand. approx. 40.5 x 17 inches. Slight mothing at end of pants leg. Leather belt with 'US' belt buckle and cartridge box. Two braided pieces of cut chest cords are included.
