WWII NAVY VETERAN GROUPING
Large lot of clothing, medals, ribbon bars, towels, and personal items once belonging to Roy F. Leckron, a Navy service man from Pennsylvania. Lot includes one U.S. Navy hat, two sets of blue uniforms, three pairs of white pants, three white shirts, five aprons, two towels, two handkerchiefs, three scarves, seven white hats, two small drawstring bags, two belts, one set of leg covers, one large white drawstring bag, and one large green drawstring bag. Included in lot are two medals and ribbon bars for World War II Victory and American Campaign. Also some other ribbon bars, some partially filled, for World War II Victory (four), World War II Occupation (two), Asiatic-Pacific Campaign (two, one with four stars), Navy Good Conduct (two, one with three stars), Navy Commendation (two), Philippines Liberation, and American Campaign. Also included is Leckron's dog-tag, a U.S. Naval sweetheart plaque to his mom, rope, three black-painted belt buckles, a painted wooded 'Merry Christmas' box, and an etched glass 'U.S. Navy' paperweight. Some clothing items are marked on the inside 'Roy F. Leckron'. One blue shirt has two attached ribbon bars for Navy Good Conduct, American Campaign, World War II Victory, and Philippine Independence. Three shirts have naval patches which indicate service in the ship's commissary and kitchen. Lot also includes 21 original photographs of Leckron, Saudis visiting an air landing strip, the U.S.S. Rendova, aerial photographs, photographs taken in Manila and Turkey, and personal photographs.
