WWII LUFTWAFFE PILOT ADOLF HAISS GROUPING PHOTOGRAPHS & DOCUMENTS
Excellent grouping of German Luftwaffe Oberleutnant Adolf Haiss, born 16. Februar 1915 in Stuttgart, from 1931 until 1938 he was a Hitler Youth leader and joined the Luftwaffe in August 1939. The group includes two photo albums and documents, including his award certificate for the Honor Goblet of the Luftwaffe for his success as Aufklarungflieger (reconnaissance), two promotion documents, a typed personal file, and his Reichs sports badge award book. The two photo albums assembled by Haiss include a main album with 387 excellent photos recording his time with the 1. Staffel (F) Aufklaerungsgruppe 124, training with the Kriegsmarine in Danzig in 1941, an airfield in Rochefort with the remains of the French air force, crew members, enemy flights, captured Russians, airfield in Poltawa (Ukraine), aerial views, aircrafts flown, downed and destroyed planes, a candid photo of Hitler, many photographs are captioned and pilots identified. The second album is a unit book with portraits and funny collages for each member and contains 41 photographs. Excellent lot with good detailed photographs.
