WWI VERDUN MEMORIAL MARKER
French memorial marker made after WWI to contain soil from the battlefields of WWI. Marked 'Verdun' on the obverse, verso is translated as, 'This marker contains a piece of the sacred ground of Verdun', and '1914' and '1918' on its short sides. Made of ceramic, approx. 5 x 2.5 inches. Marker is missing cork and has minor chips.
