ALLIED SAFE CONDUCT PASS PROPAGANDA LEAFLET
WWII US safe conduct pass (Passierschein) propaganda leaflet printed in German and English and dropped on German soldiers. The pass reads 'The German soldier who carries this safe conduct is using it as a sign of his genuine wish to give himself up...[He is] to receive food and medical attention as required, and to be removed from the danger zone as soon as possible.' Pass bears facsimile signatures of Dwight D. Eisenhower and lists the rules for prisoners of war under the Geneva Convention with bold lettering across the center reading 'Valid also for Volkssturm.' 2 pages, 8.5 x 5.25 inches.
