(1903-1943) Kurt Matern was killed on 1st December 1943 as commander of the Fusilier-Regiment 39 with the rank of Oberst. Award certificate for the Black Wound badge to Fusilier Heinrich Busch with the 14./ Fusilier-Regiment 39. Document signed by Kurt Matern on the battlefield, September 14, 1943 as Oberst and commander of the regiment. One horizontal fold. 5.5 x 8 inches.
