HANNA REITSCH
(1912-1979) German aviator and test pilot, one of the most successful German female pilots of the 20th century. Extremely loyal to Hitler, Reitsch was among the very last people to meet Adolf Hitler alive in the Fuhrerbunker two days before his suicide on 30. April 1945. Signed photograph of Hanna Reitsch, seated in her Sperber Junior glider, circa 1936, signed in blue ink at the bottom, 4 x 5 inches. With her memoirs: 'FLYING IS MY LIFE', published by Putnam's, New York, 1954, 246 pages, b/w photographs, hardcover with original dust jacket. Two pieces.
