GERMAN WWII MOTHERS CROSS APPLICATION - Scarce application form for the German WWII Mutter Kreuz decoration - 'Honor Cross for German Mothers', dated 1939. The applicant, Gertraud Brettenthaler from Austria, claimed seven children, of which three died in early childhood and two sons died in WWI. She also assures to be free of Jewish blood. According to the regulations she would have received the Mother's Cross in silver, the decoration was given in three classes to mothers who conceived and raised at least four or more children.
