GERMAN WWII PHOTO ALBUM WESTERN FRONT 1940
Excellent original German photo album of a radio unit that participated in the invasion of the Low Countries, France, and the Battle of Britain. 289 photos of, among other things, the war in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. An official album made for the officers Kriegsweihnacht 1940. The album begins with a map showing troop movements, and follows with photos of Dunkirk, downed planes, destroyed cities, captured vehicles and equipment, daily life of the troop, their equipment consisting of mobile radio stations and vehicles. Goring coming for an inspection after the armistice with France, the raid on the Netherlands with photos as they cross the only bridge over the Maas at Gennep, Hitler visiting the front, and more. 12 x 17 inches, bound in cloth with gilt titles. Approx. 214 photographs. Soiling to the covers, worn spine, bumped around the edges, still a very interesting album with plenty of professional photographs.
