AFRIKA KORPS POW PHOTO ALBUM
Large Afrika Korps soldier's photograph album containing approximately 390 b/w photographs, 112 pages, approx. 9 x 11 inches. The album was assembled by Guenther Scheunert, captured 1943 in North Africa by American Forces. The book starts with his training in Cologne, Germany, his transfer to the Afrika Korps, his time in Afrika and then follows his time as a POW in the US, includes his mugshot with his prisoner number '123311'. Also included is a larger photograph of Scheunert in uniform and a portion of an Afrika Korps cuff title. One photo shown is supposed to be 'Rommel from a distance' and the usual scenic photographs with some souvenir prints.
