WERNER VON BLOMBERG
(1878-1946) Generalfeldmarschall, first Minister of War and Commander-in-Chief of the German Armed Forces. He was forced to resign in 1938 when presented with evidence that his wife had posed in the past for pornographic photos. Offered here is a signed Thank-you card reading: 'Gerneralfeldmarschall von Blomberg and Ms von Blomberg thank you warmly for the thoughtfulness expressed on the occasion of our wedding', responding to a well-wisher, ironically this wedding would later be the reason for the end of his career. Signed by Blomberg in blue ink. 4 x 5.75 inches.
