(1896-1984) Four-star U.S. General, typed letter to Lt. Gen. Geoffrey Keyes, on his Headquarters 15th Army Group letterhead, May 5,1945: 'Dear Jeff: Many thanks for your telegram of May 1 sending birthday greetings...The victorious actions of your splendid II Corps did much to make the day a particularly happy one for me.' Singed at conclusion in blue ink. 6 x 8 inches, mailing folds.
