SOVIET 'UDARNIK' AWARD CITATION FOR AGRICULTURE
Soviet 'Udarnik' award citation given to Comrade Nikolai Grigor'evich Pavlenko, an agricultural worker who distinguished himself on the 'fields of state farm 'Giant', dated January 1, 1932, with the official stamp and original signatures. 'Udarnik', or 'Shock Worker' as Stalin translated it, is a Soviet word for an overproductive worker. The udarnik movement was launched and supported by the government to intensify the industrial development of the country. the document displays black and white images of Lenin and Stalin accompanied by their quotes to encourage productive labor. Mailing folds, some paper loss on the lower-left corner, minor tears.
