WWII LETTER OF GRATITUDE FOR SERVICE ON THE FIRST UKRAINIAN FRONT
An official letter of gratitude addressed to a member of the Soviet Guards unit Petr Evgen'evich Abeyev who fought for the First Ukrainian Front, a major formation of the Soviet Army, during WWII. It outlines the successes of the First Ukrainian Front and sends the warmest wishes for the peaceful time ahead. The letter displays drawings of Lenin and Stalin, weapons, red flags, and the Kremlin tower. It was printed by the propaganda department of the First Ukrainian Front and contains printed signatures of the Commander of the First Ukrainian Front, USSR Marshal Ivan Konev, Front Chief of Staff, Army General Ivan Petrov, and Member of the Military Council of the Front Lieutenant General K. Krainyukov. 11.75 x 16.5 in, mailing folds, minor wear on edges.
