Hoffmann (1885-1957) was Adolf Hitler's official photographer, a Nazi politician and publisher, and a member of Hitler's intimate circle. Hoffmann's photographs were a significant part of Hitler's propaganda campaign. The photographs in this lot were removed from an album called 'Greater Germany in World Affairs.' They depict German WWII leaders, soldiers, war machines, including planes and ships, as well as civilian life during this time. Each photograph is mounted on gray paper and has a brief explanation, in German, of what the image depicts. Photographs without the background measure about 4 x 5 5/8 in.
