Heavily illustrated Goebbels' propaganda piece dedicated to Horst Wessel, shows early street fighters and the poor state of the city before Hitler's rise, attacks Jewish anarchists, communists, entertainers, and 'degenerate' artists, as well as jazz and black entertainers. In 1923, Hitler is introduced, as is the S.A., and the public is shown gratefully accepting packets of food and medical assistance and eagerly rallying to the Nazi cause. Goebbels concludes with the burning of the Reichstag and Hitler assuming power. One of the earliest and most blatant propaganda books published by Joseph Goebbels.
