Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington (1912 - 1988) American World War II flying ace who shot down 28 enemy Japanese planes, organized the legendary Black Sheep Squadron in the South Pacific in 1943 and was awarded the U.S. Medal of Honor. His book 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' boldly signed on the half-title page in black ink 'To Bob Wiersum With All The Best Always - Pappy Boyington' and dated Sept. 19, 1981.
