(1919 - 2006) WWII combat medic assigned to the 2nd Platoon, Company B, 1st Battalion, 307th Infantry, 77th Infantry Division, who famously saved 75 men during the Battle of Okinawa. First Day Cover with a portrait cachet of Medal of Honor recipient DESMOND T. DOSS, signed in black ink 'Desmond T. Doss, C.M.H.' The cover features three additional signatures, it is signed by his wife DOROTHY DOSS, by the designer of the stamp DENNIS HOLM, and the designer of the postal cover PAT MCDOUGAL. Unusual FDC bearing four signatures. 3.625 x 6.5 inches, with an informational insert of the official citation read at the White House.
