In part: '...on 7. May 1945 the Supreme Command of the Wehrmacht [OKW] signed the unconditional surrender at Reims of all German troops...effective 8. May 1945 at 23 o'clock...I demand: stop all acts of war and surrender the weapons...I warn: if the German soldiers, officers and generals do not follow my orders...I will order the total annihilation of the German troops...'
